Dinghy Sailing Courses for Youth
All Fees include transportation and entry to Brownsea Island from PooleWhen and how can youngsters start to learn to sail? At Harbour Challenge you can start when you are ready for the adventure. We use the tried and tested RYA method of learning for teaching our youngsters to sail. This means that everything is broken down into "bite sized chunks" and for the youth section, that involves the teaching being divided up into 4 easy, fun filled stages that the kids just love.
When
any stages are completed the appropriate certificate will be issued,
logbooks can be purchased at any time through your instructor or the
office, all completed parts can be signed off by your instructor.
Courses are fully supervised by a senior instructor and the centre
manager In the event of bad weather, alternative activities will be
provided on all courses.
You will be meet at Poole Quay by one of our centre staff and escorted to our centre on Brownsea.
RYA Stage One (8-16) 3 Day Course
Full 3 day course. Price starting from £135 per person.
For the beginners or
those with little experience this course is an excellent introduction to
the fun and excitement of dinghy sailing. Our instructors will teach you
how to rig and sail these fantastic dinghies

3 Day Course.Full 3 day course. Price starting from £135 per person.
For those having
completed their Stage One. This course will develop skills and
confidence further, as well as introduce new techniques and skills.
RYA Stage Three (8-16) 5 Day Course.
Full 5 day course. Price starting from £225 per person.
For those having
completed their Stage Two. This course will develop skills and
confidence further, as well as introduce new techniques and skills.
RYA Stage Four (8-16)
5 Day Course.Full 5 day course. Price starting from £225 per person.
For those having
completed their Stage three. This course will develop skills and
confidence further, as well as introduce new techniques and skills.

A golden opportunity to spend time on the water , to practice and hone those skills learned in stage 1 and 2. Practice groups are accompanied by an instructor to help with those pointers. This is an ideal opportunity to get ready for the next stage.
